Digital SLR Cameras

About to take the plunge (step up) and look into purchasing a Digital SLR having been using my fairly decent Fuji Finepix for some time now.
Any recommendations on a decent kit (including a couple of lenses)? Also wouldnt mind a bit of advice on a good lens for taking good fast action shots.

I have a D90 with kit lens and a 50mm thingy, a gorrilapod Focus with ballhead and a Lowepro slingshot case.
Hardly used it and not likely too really so toying with the idea of selling up.

Well its never been out for weeks now, dunno if thats the norm with photography but it seems this kit is wasted on me.
Our lass wont use it for regular day to day snaps and I cant help thinking I would be better off with something not as specialised.
Dont get me wrong like its a cracking bit of kit and once the summer months come round I hope to get some good shots of the kids on days out, but would I get those same decent shots with something a bit smaller, I think I would.
