Heworth Metro
The yellow and green line both go thru here, so does this mean I can get off the train and jump on the metro to go directly to Wallsend?

I think so as long as you have paid for the right amount of zones you are travelling through

You're better off going to monument and changing mate.
If you get on at heworth you end up going the round the top half of the metro system before wallsend. The train terminates at St James so it goes the long way round
