Is it ok to park in the residential streets around the hospital or is it permit only?

bollocks is it. You may have to walk a bit but easy enough to find a space in the streets

They've got about 400,000 car parking spaces in the grounds now, dunno how much it is to park mind.

you can park on the side of the main road outside (if you can find a space)

Think that's still in the pipeline. iirc the locals were being asked about it, but weren't too happy due to the cost of 2nd permits.

Permit only now and has been for tha last 8 months or so. The 'meter maids' are shit hot too.

Cheers will go down the official route - just had a look on Google Earth and there seems to be shit loads of residential parking as a backup

Usually easy to get parked in the side streets , especially on the side that runs along by the Niall Quinn place , streets behind the little cafe - no permits required
