I dont understand how Da Silva and Riveros looked amazing at the World Cup then not really cut it here. I don't think Riveros has been given much of a chance. Angeleri.... well I know why he hasn't got a look in, because he came on and crossed a ball into row Z, but have the other two had a fair crack?

He's the only footy player who's videos on youtube consist of two where he is modelling and posing and two where he takes a throw in.

i think the problem with da silva was he wasnt physical enough and not the quickest. turner isnt quik but hes strong and a solid defender. world cup games are generally played on the deck infront of defenders, when he played in the prem the ball was going over his head and he couldnt turn and keep up with his man or be strong enough to fend him off (see rodallegas goal for wigan at their place last season). he will suit spain to the ground because hes more of a footballer than an old fashioned defender like turner.

Bruce didn't do his homework on Riveros & thought he was signing a left winger based on one game where he played there against England. Riveros isn't what he wants from a central midfielder though so now he doesn't know what to do with him.

They get hours every day to do their bit to impress and make an impact in training. If they do it, they'll get played.
