    Default player ratings of game

    http://www.skysports.com/football/us...283883,00.html

seems fair. If you lose you cannot get good ratings.

I will say that the players did very well. Everything I wanted to see before the game I saw. The passing was great, movement off the ball was improved, the set pieces were improved... Everything improved. We were just very very unlucky but, neutrals must have had the time of their lives.

Moment which defined the type of day we are having was when the Black pool defenders messed up and Bent had a one on one vs Kingson, Kingson comes out and makes a brilliant save which goes straight to Elmo who kicks a shot which looks to be on goal but, the Crainey recovers and heads it out

    Simply an unbelievable game overall...

If we keep playing like this we will finish in the top 7.

I hope Onuoha and Gyan are not hurt

How did their keeper earn a 9

Saved a few shots straight at him, got lucky when he mis-controlled, spilled a few (one off Henderson nearly into his own net), and was even beaten twice only to have them blocked by players on the line.

    That's just ridiculous.

When you keep a clean sheet you Start automatically at 7 in my book. Goalkeeping is the hardest position in the game and the position were one gets the least recognition for a job well done. Mistakes don't matter as long as they don't cost the team or create chances for the other team. Lastly, different keepers have different styles.

Both the site users and the experts rated and, as you can see they gave similar verdicts.

When you lose you don't get good ratings generally speaking. If we win 1:0 add about 2-4 to everyone's points.

We really have no moral ground to be criticising anyones finishing today.

Can't agree with you there, a mistake is a mistake even if it doesn't lead to a goal. For me, when a goalkeeper makes a mistake it generally points to a lack of composure or concentration, and that's the kind of keeper I wouldn't want in my team.

I realise no goalkeepers are perfect, and their mistakes are easier to spot, but their keeper today didn't fill me with confidence.
