    We would find it offensive if someone said to us, speak Geordie, so I suppose aye.

    We say 'Jocky whips' for chips, is that offensive?

    Geordie would be an accent though, if you asked a Scot to speak English he is presumably speaking Gaelic?

    Slang is using incorrect/lazy/or possibly colloquial words. Accent is how your voice sounds not what words you use. (I think). Dialect is local language. Think how the local areas say different differently.
