    Default MON's formations

I know he favoured a 3-5-2 at Celtic, any other info on his preferred formations?

He's played 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 too. I seem to remember Villa playing Carew up front with Young and Downing just off him.

Played 4-5-1/4-4-2 at Villa didn't he but with Carew/Heskey playing the battering ram and Ashley Young getting up alongside him.

Maybe he's clever enough to pick the formation that best suits the players he has?

Seems he's happy to change things around depending on his personnel. Wonder what he'll make of our lads..

If he's going to suit our personel he'll need to play 2 right backs, no left back, 4 holding midfielders and Nee one up front.

4-5-1 at Villa iirc. At both Celtic and Villa's he had two hammer throwers at he back, two pacy wingers, a big lump upfront and played on the counter.
