    Default The Hadron Collider..

    Has seen a collision. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8593780.stm

Now, i know i'm as thick as two short planks, but i find this really interesting, was watching that Prof. Brian Cox on Wossys show the other night explaining it a bit in simpletons terms and got into it, he said that 27k stretch of tunnels they've created under Geneva, that they are pushing particles through, WILL see results shortly, and so it has.

Brian seems quite excited on twitter, and his show is worth a watch on iplayer Wonders of the Solar System

Wish i understood it a bit more like, but i'm trying.

Seems like a waste of money to me. It could have been spent on invading a mussie country or deporting some black people.

I can't be the only one who always misread the name as Large Hardon Collider, sees a mention of Professor Brian Cox and assumes they're making Carry On Particle Physics over in Switzerland, can I?

Nope it's been mentioned. You share a sewerous (?) mind with others.
