well a lot is going to depend on who leaves during the summer. If we assume - and it's a big assumption - that the following leave, then we're going to have a busy summer

Mensah (Loan)
Zenden (Contract expired)
Wellbeck (loan)
Onuhua (Loan)
Cambell (not leaving, but long term injury)
Angeleri (sale)
Riveros (sale)

and assuming that the out on loan players do not feature next season:

Nyron Nosworthy
Matt Killgallon
George McCartney
et all

Leaves us with 1 fit senior striker, thin on full backs and lacking width in midfield. We're also light in central midfield, although you could argue that with the players we've got, there's enough cover.

So I reckon, based on my extensive and excellent football knowledge, we need:

RB
LW
ST 1
ST 2

As absolute priorities and

CM
ST 3

as nice to haves.

I'm a little disappointed that we not yet in the position to just add 2 or 3 players of real quality and yet again we're looking at half a squad just to retain parity. Still, keep the faith etc etc

I would add GK to that list plus 1 CB. Hopefully in the future we will get to the stage when we only add 2 or 3 players a season but until we get to where we want to be we'll see this high tunover of players though maybe not on this scale.
