    Default Reporting of player valuations

If the rumours about Kenwynne going are correct i think people should take the reported valuations with a pinch of salt.

When a rumour starts it seems as though the press seem to report the figure that will attract the most attention. take bents last two moves as an example, when spurs paid 16 million for bent this was seen as was over the top and much more than his worth. however, this figure will be the final amount paid including all potential add-ons and bonuses. we signed him for what was it 10 million? i bet the actual figure after add ons for appearances/goals/international apps/league position finish will take his price up by a good few million.

9 milion for jones will be seen as a shock as keane said he was worth 40m and we have reportedly turned down massive bids in the past. if there's any truth in it I bet we get way more than 9mil all in.

£9million for somebody who is apparently lazy, can't shoot, isn't interested etc is a good price. Almost double our record fee received IIRC.

Strikers are at a premium these days and £9 million looks an undervaluation in my opinion.
