Default Don't honestly understand how Capello doesn't get it

We've never been truly able to play Gerrard and Lampard together, we seem obsessed with trying to accomodate them both, even playing Gerrard on the wings once or twice. Utterly ridiulous.

The solution is obvious (to me anyway)

Drop Gerrard, his legs have gone, looks a shadow of the player he was a couple of years ago. Shows the strain from carrying a poor Liverpool team for too long.

Start playing proper wingers in their correct wide positions.... and not a right winger on the left (that's just shit).

Baffles me why he took that donkey Heskey and not Bent, Andy Johnson should have gone too.

Team for next match should be:-

    -------------------------- James ---------------------------

    Johnson ----------- Terry ---------- Carragher ----------- Cole

    Lennon/SWP ------ Lampard --------- Barry ------------ J.Cole

    ----------------- Rooney ------------- Defoe ------------------

I must admit I'm torn because Rooney's been terrible as has Glenn Johnson, but I'd stick with them... for this last game.

Remind when Lampard last looked impressive in a major tournament. He has consistently underperformed for England and yet is constantly played. A modern mystery.

Carragher is suspended marra. He'll stick Upson in even though it should be Dawson

In fairness to Capelli, he got Gerrard and Lampard playing fantastically on the same team in qualifying, with Lampard in the centre and Gerrard starting on the left bit drifting around.

Suddenly now though, they've just went completely to shit

England absolutely can accomodate both Gerrard and Lampard, and so they should. Where it becomes difficult it when you insist on occomodating them both whilst stubbornly sticking to a 4-4-2 formation. Go 4-5-1/4-3-3 and you can have Rooney up front on his own (where he excels for his club), Gerrard pushing on supporting a loan striker at every opportunity (where he excels for his club), and Lampard in a midfield 3 looking to arrive late (where he excels for his club).

    Not a chance........

He'll have Emile Ivanhoe Heskey upfront - where he can't even get a game for his club

Shaun Hype-Phillips on the left - where he can't even get a game for his club

    And Crouch as plan-B
