Default Passport with less than six months left...

Can you travel using a passport with less than six months on it?

I don't know where from but I'm sure I've read that you need six months. I could be just confused.

    Cheers

I think it differs depending on which country you are travelling to. Some do require at least 6 months IIRC.

    Aye, I will.

Mine runs out in September and flying in April to Muenchen, with Easyjet; I just don't want to give them an excuse.

Aye depends where you go. I've actually travelled on an expired passport before but some countries do require 6 months left.

If I got mine renewed now, will it run til September 2021, or will I lose those months?

They'll add months on but I'm not sure how many. I.e. might only be 6 months or something.

You'll be fine in the EC. If you're coming to the US they insist on having 6 months, same for China and Russia. (at least they used to when I was travelling there regularly)

No problem at all in the EU, and I have been in to Turkey with less than 3 months with no questions asked.
