Dope farm discovered in Eden Vale
Multi-let house next door to Max's newsagent on Eden Vale was raided this morning, with the rozzers discovering dozens of cannabis plants and the electric-box re-routed or whatever the term is.
There's merry effing hell on coz one of the tenants (there's four flats in the house) is a well-behaved well-to-do professional lady.
Might be in The Echo tonight.
So, for those-that-way-inclined, you're ghonna have to change your dealer!!

Been loads all over Sunderland, though it seemed to have died down a bit lately.
A year or so ago they were discovering Vietnamese cannabis farms almost every week, iirc there were two fires in Eden Vale in Beachville Road and Vale Street within like a week caused by cannabis farms, the one in Vale street completely gutted the house and caused major damage to those either side.
Worst thing I ever did was move to Eden Vale like.

I looked at those flats when they were on the market a few year ago. Looks like I did well to avoid

Itīs not just Eden Vale or Sunderland but all of the North East. Durham Police used to have a little map on their website with a map of the North East with flags on indicating where they had found grows going on. I think they stopped doing it as the map was hidden beneath a sea of flags. Stanley and Consett are seemingly the right climate.
Itīs hardly surprising in an area of high unemployment people will grow to earn a few bob.

Eden Vale is a bit of a shithole now like.
I blame buy-to-let landlords. You buggers sit at home in a nice area while your drug crazed tenants think a piss stained mattress is a nice garden ornament and make their neighbour's lives hell. Count your money, but karma will get you.

It's not the poor residents growing a bit on the side, it's vietnamese renting them out, gutting the houses, bypassing the electric and churning out kilos of the stuff.

I moved here 3 years ago and still love it. BUT, it is a shithole, or rapidly descending into one. Do you attend the Eden Vale Resident's meetings? I'm gonna start going and also considering standing in the next council election as Lee Martin is only interested in Barnes, and we are ignored like a retarded relative.

Re: Dope farm discovered in Eden Vale
It's started in the 'long streets' of Hendon and is expected to spread across the city ... that is, clamping down hard on buy-to-let landlords. All sorts of legislation now needs to addressed so that a landlord can get a licence.

I saw them and considered going, but thought if I complained about the issues that were making my life a misery I'd just be dismissed as racist, so didn't bother.
Pleased to be out of there, had to sell my property at a massive loss which will has set me back decades as it was my first flat, but worth it to get out.
