    in ten years time, i predict the "new" local lad to play for us will be Bangla-deshi.............

    well yes then if born in sunderland makes you a mackem........ no bother with that!

    it was just when i was looking around there were only bangla-deshi children playing football in the streets ( I am presuming Bangladeshi as there was a Bangla-deshi community hall nearby).

    absolutely nothing ................ i am a soft southerner by birth, and I was always under the impression that up in the gritty north (i'm being stereotypical on purpose) that the football heroes of the past grew up learning their trade/skills on the streets of the working class towns ........jumpers for goalposts etc......... i didn't see any children playing football in the streets except for the aforementioned ........ and good luck to them.........

    So what position does Bangla play. Is he a striker. Will he score goals, or will he be more of a playmaker. How do you know him? Is he a family friend. Where can we see him play now?
