well where to start, my parter died suddenly about 3 weeks ago now, ill not go into full details. but we have one daughter together whos 7 month and she had a daughter who ive been raising as mine since pretty much the moment i met her. from the age of 2 shes now 4, anyway the biological dad didnt bother at first has caused lots of problems etc but while hes had access then hes started getting overnight access in december.

we still had problems with him etc but to cut a long story short on his overnight last saturday he decided to call and advise that he is not returning her..

we got the police involved but as he has parental responsibilty they couldnt do anything other than check on her welfare.

my partner had it in her will that her mam should have custody if anything happened this was before i met her, but apparently parental responsibilty overrides this

the grandma who is going to be looking after the 2 kids as i want them to grow up as sisters.

they are saying theres nothing we can do other than obviously have a long drawn out court battle.

i was just wondering if i myself have any rights is it worth getting in touch with social services. for any advice.

i mean this wothless peice of shit has taken her out of nursery away from her sister grandma and immediate family myself also.. weve been told the only way we will see her if he agress to this provatly and going on previous history i cant see this happening.

she never used to want to go and he lives in a 1 bedroom flatt hasnt even got the proper facilites IE her own bedroom etc he has a parnter himself.

i just not sure if anyone can make any sence of this and offer anysort of advice

sorry for your loss marra. sounds like an awful situation to be in. definitley ring them and ask for advice, ring everyone and anyone you think might be able to help. good luck.
