Wigan, not fair
How can the lads go to Wigan who incidently have an extra days rest and be expected to compete 48 hours after dying against City? Pathetic and it wouldn't supprise me if the lads lost to be honest. Utter utter cock up by the powers that be.

O'Neill won't allow slacking in the fitness department.
We'll be motivated.

Re: Wigan, not fair
Funnily enough it may not work to their advantage. I know it's not at the same level but whenever i used to do a really hard session training for triathlons (say 3 x 1 mile repeats flat out (5 min/mile pace) followed by a slow jog back to the start point plus 2 to 3 mile warm up/warm down i used to feel absolutely energised 48 hours later after a days rest.

Re: Wigan, not fair
MON nots daft, but we will need to keep the ball as much as possible, otherwise we will be out on our feet 2nd half.
Just got to get on with it. 3 points out of City was a bonus, great if we can build on it, but if not probably got the points at most from the 2 games that fans were expecting. Maybe 1 or 3 points out of these 2 games if you were realistic.

Re: Wigan, not fair
I think there is too much made of this. 48 hrs, if injury free, is enough time to recover and perform to a high standard. In other sports such as cycling, they have far less recovery time. I remember Stephen Roche is the Tour de France, being taken to hospital after collapsing after one stage.Next morning he was back on his bike and going on to win the tour.
After a fantastic morale boosting win such as yesterday I bet they can't wait to get back on the pitch.
