Default Waiting for the bombshell .............

I wonder if anyone has experienced these feelings?

You arrive at a point where everything is great and life couldn't be better ........ for me, the family all in well paid employment or university, first grandson turns out to be a little beauty, our lass in content and every day is a pleasure.

So why do I have a sense of dread

It's like I'm waiting for a bombshell and, at a time when I should be having the time of my life, I'm dreading this unknown event, not my death btw, that'll spoil everything.

    Is this normal?

You need to discover your spirit a little more.

Nah, I was back for the derby match and planning more trips.

I love following Sunderland, after watching us in the 3rd division, witnessing various relegations and 'cheering on' the likes of Gareth Hall I have to say this is all like a wonderful dream.

maybe not exactly the same but it could be a variation on this:

I get it quite badly when things are going really well for me unfortunately and personally I think it stems from an overactive self defence mechanism
