Default If Liverpool win the FA Cup...

and Manchester City hold on for the title, would you say Liverpool (2 trophies) have had a better season than Man Utd (zero trophies, first round European exit, early exits in the domestic cups)?

I couldn't give a fuck about Liverpool, Man U or City.

Will Everton have had a better season by spending peanuts compared to you, and at the same time finishing above you???

    No

IF manu didn't win the title this would be one of there worst ever seasons under fergie.

however doesn't excuse how bad Liverpool have been finishing below Newcastle and possibly Everton isn't acceptable. The cups keep Dogleash in the job longer which suits us all cos he'll only make them even worse

and after spending £100mill+ on a bag of shite yeah a cup should be least you achieve...

Depends on what Liverpool fans feel is more important. Winning the domestic cups, or challenging for the title. Since Man Utd have now won more titles than Liverpool, I'm guessing winning domestic cups is better than finishing 2nd and almost winning the title.

Flip the situation Kev to get your answer. If Liverpool finished 2nd in the league to Everton, and got knocked out of all the cups early. Would you say Man Utd had a better season if they won both domestic cups, but finsihed 8th behind City in 7th?

I would say yes. I'd rather win a cup or two than be runners up in the title race. However, still doesn't get Liverpool in the Champions League which a club of their size really needs in the modern game considering the financial rewards that being in the competiton brings.

You tell me. I think you already know the answer deep down. Dalglish is under pressure. Fergie is not.

So would I. But we're not exactly a team who's seemingly fallen from top 4 places or challengers to mid table chasing pack in a couple of years. We'd take a cup win and 15th place over 3rd round exit and 8th place, with the Mags below us.
