just to take the attention of todays disaster, what was people's views on Lampard's equaliser?

I think it was a goal, the base of the ball was over the line, but thats just me...

After 3 replays the pundit and commentator were not sure of it crossed the line so we I wont blame the official for thinking it was over the line

Easy thing this officiating were you have the benefit or remember

It looked over to me (just) but there's enough doubt not to give it. The benefit of the doubt should go to the defending team-no way could the linesman have been 100% certain it was over the line so he shouldn't have given it.

In summary, it was over the line but shouldn't have been given because the officials must have been unsure.

Also, the fact it's even debateable after watching it on many replays shows TV won't always be a cure all remedy.
