Default Gordon likely to be back for Blackburn (18th October)

Seeing his specialist on Friday to see if he is fine to return to full training. Will be back in contention for early October but with the only game in October prior to Blackburn being Man Utd I wouldn't expect him to come into the first team until then.

That gives Mignolet 3 games to cement his place in the team, it could take time for Gordon to regain his sharpness as he wouldn't of been able to do any handling training with it being an arm injury.

Might be good to get a win in the League cup against West Ham and get Gordon in for the next round on the 26th/27th October. No need to rush unless Mignolet takes a massive step backwards.

They were looking at him being back for the WHam game on Tuesday according to reports last week.
Wonder if he's had a setback in some way.

Bruce reckons it's just a bit too soon, according to an article in the Chronicle yesterday.

In Echo yesterday he said it was too soon and he wasn't seeing his specialist until Friday and can't return to full training until his physio gives the go ahead

No hurry for Gordon, we''ll make do with our new number one keeper.
But maybe give Carson a run out against the Hammers
