The second team looks better by a mile. I wouldn't have too much faith in the first one because the players in bold aren't guaranteed starters. That fucked me over in that competition a few years ago, just having a 2-3 non-starters in my team left me with too much ground to make up, even with Torres, Drogba, Lampard and Ronaldo (the season he got 40 goals) in the team.

My team in the same league is provisional so far as am hoping for one or two more transfers to go through before kick-off (I hope Ireland ends up somewhere he'll get first team football, can't be ignored at 2.5M if that happens. Obviously Cesc will be got the fuck out of there if it looks like the writing's on the wall for the Barca move). As it stands, it's:

    Harper
    Carr
    Ridgewell
    Jagielka
    Enrique
    Lampard
    Fabregas
    Silva
    Rooney
    Bent
    Chamakh

Defence looks dodgy to me. Jagielka is still fucked isnt he? And is always a bad decision to have 2 defenders from the same poor team in the back 5, as you have done with Harper & Enrique & Carr & Ridgewell, if they take a pasting one week you are screwed

And tbh I think Given,Yossi & Campbell are nailed on starters and O'Shea will get plenty of games over the course of the season

Aye, gambled with the defence and went cheap because they're rarely big point scorers, but Birmingham are solid enough at the back and unfortunately I think the mags will do ok this season. Generally think it's worth the risk to get the big hitters like Cesc, Fat Frank and Shrek in the team. Thought Jagielka was due back in the next months or so though?
