I can remember when we sold Marco......
and i was gutted at the time but then we went on an FA cup run to the final. And we bought two of my favourite ever Sunderland players in Don Goodman and John Byrne. Such is life and its a cliché but no one but no one is ever bigger than my beloved Sunderland AFC. We move on and await our next hero....

No comparison really. We had to sell Marco and he had/has a genuine affection for the club. We are sixth in Premier League and Shylock is off to a relegation battle for a few quid more per week. His loss.

Goodman was a solid replacement, and cost less than Marco was sold for = it all depends on what SB is bring in to balance this off
