Gig photography
heylo. ive managed to get myself a photopass for a gig at the o2 academy tomorrow. Its in the smaller room cos theyre an American band which isnt that well known over here yet. Anyone ever taken shots there before? Was just wondering what sorta light system it was going to have. Get myself prepapred for it tonight.
And any other general tips or hints for gig photography?

What camera you shooting with? Upstairs in the O2 the lighting isn't too bad but you may need to use a reasonably high ISO 400-800 if you're shooting without flash. Which I'd recommend...

If you can, get a 50mm prime lens. I have an old manual focus E Series Nikon 50mm 1.8 (they're about £40 on eBay) and you can get passable pictures without flash in very low light.

Im using a Sony a330 DSRL. Taking 2 lenses with me. 18-55mm. and a 70-300mm. Yeah ive been told no flash allowed, and only allowed 3 songs, which will be nice and stressful.
