Just a change of topic from our transfer rumours.

Is anyone else pissed off with all of this David Beckham crap. He was finished at the highest level years ago and last seasons Champions League tie against Man Utd proved that.

As for picking him for meaningless friendly's proves how desperate we are as a footballing Nation.

One things for sure, he must have one hell of an agent!

All Capello did was state the obvious, however past it Beckham is he is currently recovering from a serious long term injury which means he will not play again until the USA season starts next spring, then he has to get himself up to international match fitness in a 2nd rate league, just cant see it happen but lets not let that get in the way of a sentimental news story shall we

Beckham has plenty of friends in the media and will be calling in a few favours.

Managers are often slaughtered for not giving straight answers, Capello does and is hammered for it

Capello didn't even have the decency to tell him that he wasn't going to consider him for selection again, instead informing him through the media. It fits in with his cowardly nature of getting his assistant to ring up the players telling them they didn't make the World Cup squad instead of Capello himself meeting them face-to-face to tell them.

Beckham has been wrote off time and time again but has come back every single time and he'll do so again, sticking it to his critics and doubters once again.

Stick your Lampard's, Gerrard's, Rooney's up your arse, Beckham has been, without a doubt, the best English player for the last decade and he still has a part to play.

Why is Beckham so special that he deserves a phone call or special send-off? He was a decent, but limited footballer who gave his all. Not a patch on players of the past but has very good PR and hype machine.
