Our handling of Mensah
No criticisim of our medical staff but from what they were saying the other day Mensah didnt finish a full game for us last season because of his injuries and coming off early.
Has he not in the 4 games for Ghana at the WC not played 3 out of the 4, finished 90 minutes in 2 and is on the cusp of playing 2 whole hours tonight just 3/4 days after his last game.
He doesnt exactly look broken either, just as tired as every other player. Does this not seem a bit strange?

I think their winter is a bit warmer than ours, which must play a part in his injury problems.

Time to get the chequebook out, looks fit to me!
Think Ghana should be grateful to out medical staff for looking after him so well

A season is 38 + cup games, the World Cup isn't

Not sure how that would impact him, but anyway there last 2 games have been at night when it is colder - It was under 15 degrees there tonight.

Eh? But surely he has just played a 38 game season, and cup games, and is now playing a highly intensive tournament that takes it out of even the best players.
Its not like he has had a year off for this, he has had a few weeks since the 38 game season you speak of

And the odds of him being fit for the quarter finals are ???
We should sign him without any shadow of a doubt. Best centre half at the world cup by a mile
