Default Bad chest/ cough doing the rounds

Anyone been to the docs about this? I want to know if it's an infection and treatable, or a virus. Whole family have had it for weeks now and I need to know if it's worth skipping work to go to the docs.

I'm pretty sure the advice is to go to the docs if you've had a cough for more than a week. If you're coughing up luminous phlegm then I'd probably go now and they'll give you antibiotics.

It went round our place a few weeks ago. Lasts for ages and even after you stop coughing you get an uncomfortable feeling in what feels like the bottom of your lungs for a week or so. It did run its course though without antibiotics.

Sounds like tuberculosis to me. Usually fatal.

As teenage drinkers in Pennywell we used to neck Vaux Pale Ale (13p a can) with police bottle chasers in King Georges Park.

Aye i've been bad for nearly 3 weeks and just been taking lemsips.

Went to NHS drop in place in Notts yesterday and it turns out i've got pneumonia in me left lung!

Given us 2 types of anti biotics.

If you've been bad for more 10 days its worth seeing a doc just in case
