The travel lodge (or premierinn, one of the two) at haymarket have a car park.

There is a couple aye...the golf tavern is pretty close and there is a few good ones a short walk up Lothian road. Never too far from a pub in Scotland!

Stayed in The Apex International in the Grassmarket for the last three visits to Edinburgh. Lovely hotel , good location and views of the castle and parking to the rear. Have introduced my mates, our lass and our friends to the place and they would all go back.

The Apex is lovely, but the car parking is very limited. Make sure you book a space well in advance with them.
