    Default USA Car Cigarette Lighters

I'm off to the states next month and am hiring a car. Was wanting to take my TomTom with me - can this just plug in the cigarette lighter in cars in the US with no problem?

Their cars are powered on a different type of electricity and your tom tom only works for cars that drive on the left.
