Just started watching Earth 2, like Firefly it got cancelled after the first season but there are 21 epiodes. You might like Serenity (film of Firefly) even though it's not a patch on the series.

Chuck is worth a watch, not a full on sci fi in space but deals with the theme of a computer being put into a humans brain, at the end of its fouth season.

Lexx is along the lines of what you're asking for but I haven't watched it yet so couldn't say whether it's good or bad.

Cheers. Was Lexx on years ago on Channel 4 by any chance?

Ive read about Chuck, but its about 5 seasons in and thats a lot of catching up to do.
Mind you, maybes better off not watching....everything i get into gets cancelled!!!! The amount of shows the Yanks have cancelled recently, leaving them on a cliff hanger for ever....Flashforward, The Event, SGU, V, SG films......if a show doesnt get Lost type ratings its fucked!!!!!

Smallville is a good one to watch, although the final episode has just been shown in the states.

The Event is good too but that has just been cancelled.

The American networks seem to be bored with scifi type stuff, the proposed Wonder Woman got kicked out before it could even start filming a pilot episode.

Still looks like we could have a new series in the summer on FX UK called Fallen Skies with Noah Wyle.

Also was reading Gary Sinise's twitter comments it looks like CSI NY might not get renewed for another season.

The pilot did get filmed, but was given a private screening, apparently they were so appalled they just decided it would not be shown the light of day.
