The record fee is one of the things that makes me happy about this deal...it is shit losing one of our best players but, fuck me, when was the last time Sunderland had a player they could sell a player for such an obscene amount of money? That, and the fact it won't completely destroy our team, shows just how far we've come in recent years.

They have had some good players in recent times (Juninho, Ravenelli, Yakubu, Merson, Downing, Catts, JFH, Zenden, Mendieta etc) so it shows how far we have come. It wasn't to long ago when we had Andy Gray up front.
