    Just been offered a place on a Secondary PGCE Course.... anyone done one?

    Any advice/do's and dont's?

    Sorry, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Teaching Course).

    One year long and qualifies you to teach in secondary schools.

    Not in IT, no, Music...

    did B. Ed years ago and was alright--but depends where you get for your teaaching practice

    Music teacher eh, well one tip I can think of is be carefull with schoolies blowing yer trumpet

    Did the PCET. Total waste of time to be honest. The industry is full of complete bells unfortunately.

    Most of the decent folk from the course can't get a job.

    It's even worse now that some colleges are changing teachers roles to instructors and paying them less!

    I did a PCET and I'm on the last year of the Education Degree now.

    Did the PGCE for Further Education a few years ago. It was alright, nothing too crazy. The philosophy of education stuff is deathly boring.
