    Default The World Population

Currently stands at 7 Billion and has grown by 1.2 billion in the last 15 years alone - a relatively short time for such a massive growth? Is this the real reason for worldwide economic collapse and austerity measures? At what figure do we reach a tipping point at which we can't sustain ourselves any longer?

    Answers on a postcard please.

Ah yes, the financial collapse in Gabon. When will they learn?

No. Reducing the worlds population wouldn't solve the distribution of wealth problem.

It might however help with food, water and energy demands.

We already have enough of everything to make everyone on the planet comfortable as it is.

Population growth has driven capitalism rather than restricting it.

Read Prosperity without Growth by Tim Jackson. Exactly what we should be doing. Were obsessed with growth despite the fact we know resources are becoming increasingly finite.

All the people moaning about the world’s population being too big could always lead by example, and help solve the problem by removing themselves from it.
