PS3 User sign in ???

Reet bear with me boys and girls as Im not really sure what Im talking about - as usual

When the bairn tries to sign into PS Network it usually takes him in automatically . Now it is asking for a password and he cant remember it . when we hit "forgot password" it asked for date of birth and it doesnt like his DOB - his young mate set the account up so we dont know what he has entered and he is in Spain now .....

I really dont know what to do next .. I assume his PS ID is linked to the above so if I just create a new sign in for him he will lose all his tropies and friends etc . is this so or can I retrieve somehow

Im at a loss as to what to do now .Any help would be great

Sorted it ... the main screen when you forget your password asks for date of birth , put the bairns (18.02.1997) in and it didnt like it. Tried again last night with 19.02.1990 and it worked little sod registered as being 18
