Default Any sparky's around? Fuse wire question...

Lights downstairs have gone out and it's the fuse that's gone.

Got none of the 5A cartridges left and can't be arsed to go out and get any. Wrapping a bit of 5A fuse wire round it will work won't it?

Or will I kill myself and family?

Or will it simply not work

    ta
