Default Legal Aid to be abolished

Whilst there certainly seems to be people abusing it (usually at the top end) lets hope those who can't afford the insurance are never wrongly accused of a crime, particulalry a serious one requiring a barrister

You are as bad as the right wing rags man: advise against = ban, cut = abolish etc etc.

Obviously - had it been under Labour I would have argued it was just a suggestion. But it is worrying when its coming on film from the person in charge of that government department not just a 'source' or spokesperson

As far as I am aware, Carke just said he "could save money on legal aid". A long way from abolishing it. Unless you have seen an interview I have not...?
