So sticking up for your work colleagues doesn't make sense? I suppose the word comradeship doesn't make any sense to you either. Prick

Not that you're wrong but surely you can see that Unite have given their members disasterous advice. They will now sign up to the changes that they first advised their members to strike against. Why aren't Unite members demanding that Tony Woodley and/or Derek Simpson resign?

Fair enough, I over-stepped the mark. I was just got pissed off when he said the strike didn't make sense. The union aren't gonna get their members to go out on strike unless they believe it was called for. That's all I was meaning.

But as I said they encouraged them to strike in opposition to changes in their terms and conditions. BA subsequently took out various actions against strikers. The Union now appear to be happy to accept what the company initially proposed and just want to the company to drop the sanctions against the members. If you can see anything to praise the union for in that I would be surprised. I would be exceptionally pissed off with union if I was a Unite member.

I don't think you're in a position to know that. Woodley has been saying for a while now that while they've negotiated certain changes to working practices (and I assume that means negotiation rather than rolling over completely), they are still unable to agree on the timetable for re-instatement of travel concessions and issues surrounding treatment of union representatives by the company. You can't expect Unite to settle until they've resolved those issues too. No trade union worth anything could.

Just had a read of this link and it sounds like that Tony Woodley sounds like a two faced twat. Looks like Unite are trying to sell their members down stream.

I got annoyed with the other lad because the BA staff obviously had their own agenda for going on strike i.e some of the cabin crew were getting laid off which i think is totally wrong especially when some of them had 30 years service with BA.
