    Default Our top 5 players

In at number 5 for me is

Bramble, since his controversial move he has grown to be a key part of our team and even earned the right to captain the lads

    Number 4

Gordon, after his huge transfer he had a hard time getting the fans on side. He sometimes struggles to control his box but He has then gone on to prove himself as one of the best shot stoppers in the league.

    Number 3

Sessegnon, since his arrival the fans expected big things from him and he lived up to that expectation

    Number 2

O'Shea, I can't believe he has even signed for us. Proven at the highest level and I can't see any bad from his signing.

    And at number 1 is

Gyan, after a great world cup we snapped him up and he has continued to show everyone he is a natural talent and why he was worth signing. He will go on to collect a few trophies through his playing career (hopefully with the lads).

I wanted to put Wes Brown 5th but after Brambles season its hard to ignore how well he played.

Who would be your top 5 and why?

Not sure you can include O'Shea before he's even pulled on a shirt so,

    5. Bramble
    4. Sessegnon
    3. Gyan
    2. Gordon
    1. Bardsley

Of the lads I've seen play (and hopefully some of the new boys will eclipse these:

5: Gordon - Would be higher up but his injury record makes him totally unreliable. I'll not be disappointed if he goes this summer for that reason, but he's still the best keeper I've seen us have.

4: Cattermole - When he plays well, we play well. He doesn't do it enough, but hopefully that'll come with time.

3: Bramble - Similar to Cattermole, makes the difference for us at the back, far more consistent than Cattermole as well.

Joint 1st: Sessegnon - Class, the kind of player we've been crying out for for years. Like a much faster, far more productive Steed Malbranque.

Joint 1st: Gyan - Couldn't choose between him and Sess. Tricks, goals, and he's a bona fide pop star too. Couldn't ask for much more.

I'm pleased Gordon is getting his mention. I really think he is underestimated. If he moves to another club it will be a club in Europe. However sone fans think he's not good enough for us

I don't understand the people who don't rate him, but I do very much think it's time for him to move on. I can't see a better club than us taking him with his injury record, you could have the best goalkeeper in the world but you're still not going to win owt if he's injured for three months every season.

It'll be a sideways or downwards move when he leaves here imo.

Can't understand this one, I'll be partially upset if he's in our first team come the Liverpool game.

I'm only going to choose four as the majority of our players from last term have left and I don't think the remaining players are particularly great. If I had to choose two from the new batch I'd say Gardner and O'Shea.

    4. Gordon
    3. Bramble
    2. Sessegnon
    1. Gyan

If he wasn't made from paper machete he would have proven any doubters wrong by now.
