Took me 13 hours in total and 9 hours ride time 4 weeks ago. Would have done it quicker but the weather was atrocious.

You definitely wouldn't enjoy doing it in a day on a mtb or hybrid. But then you wouldn't do it in a day for enjoyment anyway only for the ability to say "I did it".

It was great fun doing it in a day. We just got pissed at home instead
