Default Champ Man or Football Man?

Which game is best at the moment? Or is there another one out there worth a try?

    Footy Manager.

Has the old Champ Manager team doing it and is by far the better.

Football Manager is the superior game by a country mile. Don't even dirty your hands with that Championship Manager shite.

Cheers mate... in what ways is it better? I don't care too much about graphics. I want a deep game that's simple to control.

Alot more too it. More teams, players, things you can do, etc.. (i think)

The graphics on both are pretty shite. The 3d engine in footy manager is decent enough so you can see whats gannin on during the match.

I disagree. I think the graphics on FM are very good and perfect at the moment for that game - small but very detailed.

For me FM is streets and streets ahead of CM - whats happening on the pitch reflects the game and player stats, whereas it doesn't in Championship Manager.

Champ man went tits up when Sports Interactive pulled out/whatever the circumstances were, and made Footie Manager.

Eidos decided not to all SI to renew the rights to the brand, as they wanted a bigger cut - so they employed a new team to create a brand new game.

All Eidos owned from the deal was the "look and feel" of the GUI. SI owned the game engine and the player database.

SI then went out and purchased the rights to Football Manager from Kevin Toms, who wrote the original spectrum version.

Ah dont get me wrong, for the game it is they are decent (and certainly alot better than anything previous). But in gaming as a whole (ie in todays gaming standards) they are shite and are not gonna tax your graphics card.

I do like them tho and they do give a good representation of whats going on.
