I hate when we play away, and people are like "get out man, it's only fucking Wigan, push out".

Failing to realise it is actually a game plan... We end up winning 4-1 and it's "we were lucky though, look at the possession stats"

Me too. I realised a long time ago though that watching football every saturday in no way qualifies your opinion on football as being worthwhile or well informed.

Possession stats mean very little.

We let the other team have the ball in their own half and because we close down so quickly once they are over the half way line they invariably go backwards and try again..adds up to lots of possession with no threat..

Under Bruce we'd pile forward at times, the other team get the ball and have acres of space up the middle.

game plan includes pressurising the opposition until they make an error, therefore posession stats are bound to favour opposition
