Default Running up the side of the wear....

Just how far can you get up the wear? Fancy doing a run tomorrow, not fused which side! Starting either the Hendon side or near the glass centre. Anybody know how far you can run along before the route stops

That's the route for the bike ride on Sunday so you should be able to run quite a distance along the riverside.

Aye pretty much. There are routes. The c2c route follows the route all the way to the coast, altho it's not always right beside the river. I prefer other more off beaten routes, as they're a bit more interesting. U can go either side of the river, the city side is more fun until u hit the red lion, at which point I normally gan over the a19 bridge and continue on the other side. I do it on me bike like, non of this running malarkey

Sunderland city council designed the route.

Anyway, I've ridden on the A19 hundreds of times. It's not a problem unless you get run over.

    I was wondering.

The bit beyond the a19, after the wwt is a lot nicer anyway so for me it seems a shame skipping that bit and turning round. There's a few nice pubs too! Head towards durham or doxford after crossing the river and it's a good days ride.
