Default Winding up Barton on Twitter pre-derby.....

    Childish, or valid tactic?

I was considering sending him a random word, nothing offensive but something memorable, and repeating it every day. The word could then be chanted at him during the match. A bit of psychological torture, if you will.

    Any suggestions?

How about someone tweets "whore" then someone else tweets "mother"
Then someone tweets "armed robber" and someone else tweets "father"
Then "brother" and the reply is "killer"

The man has 320,000 followers, no doubt he receives a lot of tweets from nobodies so wont even read them.

I think he'll notice if he gets a lot that are the same and a little odd.

Be better to get our players who are on twitter to wind him. Hope Cattermole goes through him on Saturday. Personally I reckon Barton will get him self sent off

'axe' might be construed as threatening. I like Jibber Jabber mind.

i honestly can't see it bothering Barton, in fact, I can see it spurring him on to a better performance.

He seems to revel in all the hate directed his way, like he proper loves it.

I'd just leave him and let our lads sort him out on the pitch, and then if we win, give him a bit jip after the match
