The 22nd Sunderland International Air Show

Why the fuck do they insist it's only the 22nd? I can clearly remember sitting on Downhill bank next to the quarry watching the fucker 30 years ago, I can also remember some kid falling into the quarry and breaking his leg from an 80 foot drop as quite a few people used to get up there for the air show as it was a good vantage point.

I can remember sneaking into Sunderland airport to watch it like. Sneaked under the side of the Vaux beer tent and nicked one can of fucking Norseman lager! That must have been about 1980-ish.

Probably. I nicked a can of Norseman and me Da had about 70 cans of the stuff under the stairs ffs! Cannit remember who had the Alsatian though, deffo not us, we had a King Charles spaniel about that time. Seem to remember the Haley's from up Pitcairn Road being there anarl for some strange reason, although I didn't really hang about with them very much except in The Hut.

It's vague, like I said, but I remember you reaching under the beer tent to nick some cans (I thought you'd got a crate!), and the police got involved - I ended up with the fucking dog!
