Sess and Campbell could cause havoc at Stoke. There centre backs are like fully loaded oil tankers with a similar turning circle.

Playing a big lad up front just plays into their hands. As long as we can successfully defend the set pieces I really fancy our chances.

That is my worry. This is a real test for the team. Last night was class, Boro was a struggle. Why? Because Boro put two men on the ball near the box and literally closed the door on us. Outfield, they chased down everything. They know how we can run with it, they know how we can pass it, so stopped us.

Stoke will do the same, and go into every challenge full blooded. It will be the sort of match where some players might hide. McClean will love it!

I see what your saying Dave, my optimism is getting the better of me. I do however think MON knows exactly what they will do.

Give them the ball, draw them out and hit them on the counter. You're up against a different style of play than of Wigan/Swansea but the philosophy may be the same.

The sheer speed and trickery of Sess, Mclean and Campbell will cause them major problems, i think we will defend as a unit as we have been and then break. Most confident i am of facing Stoke at their place for a good couple of seasons. Hating the wait between games now, roll on Saturday.
