    The new Skoda Joyster

When it hits the road later this year, the Joyster will cost around £16,000 – undercutting the Scirocco by £3,000.

Aye they've never been good at names.

I was thinking if I were to get a cheap second hand, I might get one of these...

£1500-£2000 would get you something like a 2001 model, 1.4 VW engine, and almost certain it would have been looked after and not thrashed, the perfect car for a little run around that you don't want any chew with. Just shame it doesn't look that nice.

I'm lucky, I don't really care much about the name because my mother always had skodas when I was younger, and had one myself at one point.

I think it looks really nice. I probably still prefer the Scirocco's looks but they're far too expensive imo.

Apparently, Skoda are going to launch possibly a city car, and/or a golf platformed car that sits between the fabia and the octavia (like a golf), which like the astra/megane etc will be also made into a coupe.

Loving the SAFC scarf going across the boot. Still like the Yeti better.
