Default What's Stopping Sky From Making La Liga...

    ...the new Premier League?

They already have the two best sides in the world and the teams lower down the table are technically better than other sides.

I honestly don't think the Premiership is as exciting as we're all led to believe. You get the odd gripping game now and then but the majority are absolutely boring.

I find it difficult to watch any other side other than Sunderland. As sad as it sounds they're the only team that brings me enjoyment.

I don't mind watching Man Utd. but I'm really not bothered if anyone else is on (Chelsea and Arsenal included).

Thing is a lot of European leagues are garbage, lets face it Serie A is on it's arse, France's ligue 1 is total shite, most games are predictable in Spain, I think it's England and Germany which are the interesting leagues as teams down the bottom can win against teams at the top a lot more often.

You might see the odd freak win now and then but the table rarely changes in England either. The only difference is we now have three or four teams fighting for the title next season. However, if La Liga were given a major TV contract things could quickly change and their clubs would become more attractive to foreign buyers.

Considering the Premier League is massive around the world, you are obviously in a minority with that view.

I think it's different in Spain though, for sky to give them tv money there will have to be people millions of people with subscriptions but in Spain they don't stay in all day and watch the football as much as we do over here.

It's only massive because of the huge amount of money spent on marketing. If this was cut and the money spent to promote a different league things would change. Foreign supporters are fickle, it would only take a change in TV rights and the better players to jump ship to attract the viewers. It's like the Trinidad following. A lot of their fans began to support Sunderland because of Jones, as soon as he left, they started supporting Stoke. A lot of foreign fans follow players just as much as teams.

No, people watch it because its entertaining football - not because they are forced to.
