This 100%. You always take your strongest squad.

I don't get all this about Hodgson being the FA's puppet for seemingly siding with Terry over Ferdinand- it might make sense if the FA were "pro Terry" but whilst Capello wanted to keep Terry as captain, the FA were so dead against the idea that they stripped him of the captaincy without Capello's approval, hence Capello walking due to feeling he had been undermined. Forcing the manager to strip Terry of the captaincy hardly goes hand in hand with then suddenly appointing a "yes man" and pressuring him to take Terry over Ferdinand.

I will be criticised for it but the fa have missed a trick not appointing Redknapp. We all know his failings and personally speaking I'm not a fan but he was the best man for the job. I'm pretty sure that he would have had handled the Rio Terry situation better, probably would have taken both and made it work without it all kicking off.
Anyway hope I'm wrong and Hodgson is a success.
My tip is that Terry will break down with his dodgy hamstring and he won't play a full game, his selfishness won't allow him to withdraw through injury.

I think not taking Rio was a very convenient but legitimate footballing reason which even without this race case would have been controversial.

Roy is just sticking to his decision that's all.

He wouldn't admit he made a mistake footballing reasons or not.

We've got shite players. Deal with it.
    Exactly marra.

It's not a world class manager we require, but a world class turd polisher!

You're using your brain and applying logic rather than just following the common consensus.

For what it's worth, I don't think Hodgson is the type to be told what to do. Based on what I've read and seen of him so far, I think he's a fairly stubborn character.

I don't necessarily agree with all his decisions but I believe he made them for the right reasons ie that he thinks they're what's best.

There's far too much negativity surrounding someone who's been in the job around a month and only been in charge for a couple of friendlies.

I personally think the FA have been either very brave appointing him, or they know more about Rednapps dodgyness than they are letting on. The very easy thing to do was to just appoint the man the press were calling for so I feel there is more to this than meets the eye.
