Its on a retail park next to Meadowhall so if shitty restaurant/chain type bars are your thing then yes. If not get the tram/train to Sheffield and have a gander around the city centre. West Street is alright if my memory serves me right.

What he said. But if you do go into the city centre aswell as West St can always try Division street or Ecclesall Road

As Hoon says there is only a few shitty chain bars kicking around the area so it's abit wank. What you off to see there like?

If your after a few drinks afterwards just go into town, plenty of decent bars. If your going with the lads then head to West St. - if your going with the Mrs then head to Division St (runs parralel wiith West St). I'll be out and about with the Mrs on Saturday like and heading to the usual places, start in Frog and Parrot, then onto Green Room, then Bowery and then down to the Washington and then DQ. Nice

About 15minutes. But not too sure what time the tram runs from Arena/Meadowhall to City Centre. Defo during the day but later on I think they stop. Trains run from Meadowhall to Sheffield Train Station in the City Centre till about midnight like so could always go that option if tram ain't running.

Honestly there is nothing to do around the Arena at all like.

The train's handy, only took 5 minutes from the station to get to Meadowhall when I went there recently.

I'm with the Mrs, going to see George Benson Sunday night. Will get there early and go into city on late afternoon for bite to eat and a few slurps before heading back to the Arena.
    Thanks.

If you like Real Ale Kelham Island is canny (Fat Cat). For eats Noodle Inn on London Rd is the business-though you'd probably have to book if going in the evening. There are loads of other eateries on that road if you can't get in.

Eccy Rd is good for a pub crawl-more studenty than West Street.
