Posted this recently but may be useful for our lads today!!!

The Shovels Pub already has around 150-200 Sunderland fans going in from 10.30am onwards.. It is run by a massive Sunderland Fan and he is putting the game on. Decent food and plenty of real ales.. This is where I will be before going to the game!

Many other pubs will have the game on but will be mostly Bpool fans, away fans still get in these pubs and Im yet to hear of any bother. (Burlington Pub -near pleasure beach on Lytham road), Uncle Toms cabin(North Shore Prom) Waterloo Pub 5 mins from the ground plus quite a few more.

I have just called The Castle Pub in the town centre, they are open to away fans so looks like this will be the place to be if you prefer to be in town.
