Car Accident - Driver Driving Off
I wonder if the knowledge oracle that is the SMB could help with my evenings antics.
This evening myself and my partner fancied a spot of food shopping and so popped to Tesco, driving through the car park we encountered a point where we need stop to allow traffic ahead to sort itself out. A car from the left reversed from their spot into the side of my car. I jumped out aggrieved, to "What the fuck are you doing you prik couldn't you see I was fucking reversing". I was stationary behind the car but her attitude aggrieved me meaning I fired a few f and c's back at her. She said theres no damage but I still wanted to take details, as it was pitch black in that part of the car park. She said lets move out of the way, so I did and she drove off.
I have a witness and reported it to the Police, obviously have to go to the station tomorrow with all my documents, but what can I realistically achieve here. I've haqd people driving off before.
My partners arm is injured, the woman showed no concern and in my opinion clearly does not have insurance.

If she does not have insurance there is a kitty that insurance companies can claim from to pay you some money for the damage. At least there used to be?

Not in Tesco Car Park, private car park and not a public road as far as accidents are concerned

This.
I tried it but sadly as I didn't report my hit and run to police officially I got fuck all. It was abroad and the twatting reps never mentioned to me that I really should report it, even if I was lying in hospital drugged up and just wanting to get home....

Leaving the scene of the accident is a crime.
Not that the police will give a fuck. "Nothing we can do" they will tell you, while leaving no stone unturned or penny unspent to find a few students who threw paint at Charlie's car.

Fail to stop and exchange details is obviously an offence for which she can and if your circumstances are correct will be prosecuted. She may pull a fast one saying she drove off due to your aggressive attitude and that she feared she was in danger but as you have a witness you will be able to refute this. Tescos should have cctv which may back up your story and you should be able to get the vehicle details from this.If she is not insured there is always the motor insurance bureau which could pay for your damage.

Not really a good idea. She could easily claim that she was scared for her own safety. Maybe she was.
